Welcome To The Great Outdoors
Increasing temperatures and more hours of daylight, mean that as of June 21, summer has officially arrived! Now, even though summer is technically just starting, it doesn’t mean that planning isn’t already in full swing. Enjoy your backyard by creating your own “staycation!” If this is your first summer in a new home, there’s a wide variety of beautiful flowers, shrubs, vegetables and herbs that you can grow to make your backyard uniquely yours. Trying new foods on the barbecue or learning about new and amazing activities happening in your community, are great ways to eliminate the stress that planning a vacation can bring. Stay active by visiting your local park, walking trails or trying a new sport at your community recreation centre. Try something new this summer, have a picnic, or reacquaint yourself with neighbours, but most importantly, have fun!
Edgewood – The Pickering Community That Has It All!
There are so many aspects families consider when making a major purchase. Are there good schools in the neighbourhood for children of all ages? Is the house close to public transit and major highways so we can easily commute to work? Are there parks and trails we can enjoy? How about sports and recreation facilities; community programs and entertainment options? Will we be close to shops and services? Edgewood offers all of these and more, as quite a few discerning families have already discovered. Take a closer look at the incredible detached homes offering three finished levels of beautiful living space, backing onto a preserved ravine.

Canada Day Celebrations
Mark your calendars for Canada Day! We’ve checked out what festivities are happening in Aurora, Pickering and Stouffville, the communities we are building homes in. Aurora will celebrate a few events starting with a Rotary Club dance on June 30, and a morning parade followed by a day of festivities on July 1, put on by the Town of Aurora. In Pickering, there are two celebrations: one in the daytime at Esplanade Park (behind City Hall) and one in the evening at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park. Stouffville will celebrate with their annual Strawberry Festival, which runs from June 30 to July 2, with the July 1 celebration taking place in Memorial Park.
