The 2014 Sochi Olympics<\/a> Opening Ceremonies are this Friday – and it’s time to show our Canadian Spirit for Team Canada<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All of us here at Geranium Homes are pumped for the games … and of course the weather sure is working in the #WeAreWinter <\/a>Olympic Campaign’s favour.<\/p>\n

In true Canadian spirit Geranium Homes<\/a> and Pace Credit Union<\/a> purchased 300 pairs of Olympic Red Mittens to support Canadian athletes. \u00a0The mittens were then donated, on behalf of Geranium and our homebuyers, to York Region\u00a0shelters – in particular\u00a0Blue Door Shelters<\/a>,\u00a0Yellow Brick House<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Sandgate Women’s Shelter<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

The donation of Official Olympic mittens <\/a>not only provided the recipients with warmth in this brutally cold winter, but also gives them a sense of belonging to the community. \u00a0For Geranium Homes and Pace, the opportunity\u00a0\u00a0to support Canadian athletes through the purchase of the mittens and also provide these winter clothing items to York Region<\/a>\u00a0-area shelters, was truly a win-win situation.<\/p>\n
