The 2021 DRHBA Awards of Excellence celebrate excellence in new home design and construction, home renovations, innovative construction technology and outstanding marketing presentations of new home communities within Durham Region.
“We’re extremely proud to receive such recognition in Durham Region. Geranium takes a meticulous and thoughtful approach in all aspects of community planning, home design and construction to provide long lasting value for our homeowners,” says Stephanie Lane, Director of Marketing & Sales. “It is rewarding to be acknowledged by our respected peers,” she adds.
Geranium received the Builder of the Year Award for its two new home communities based in Durham. Courts of Canterbury in Port Perry and Edgewood in Pickering. Edgewood is a sold-out enclave of 21 executive detached homes. Geranium won the Enbridge Gas Innovation Award and achieved the City of Pickering’s 2019 Sustainability Award, making news headlines for including a complete Greyter HOME water recycling system at no extra charge.
Community of the Year – Courts of Canterbury, is a premier adult-lifestyle community nestled by the shores of Lake Scugog in the heart of Port Perry and has been drawing interest from potential home buyers across the province. Geranium’s offering of imaginative bungalow and bungalow-loft designs has led to a complete sell-out of the first two phases while only a few homes remain in the final phase. Courts of Canterbury homes range in size from 1,423 to 2,587 square feet on 42- and 50-foot lots, with two-, three- and four-bedroom layouts. Each layout features modern open concept living spaces, large windows to maximize natural light, convenient main floor laundry, double car garage and a main floor Master Bedroom retreat complete with deluxe Ensuite Bathroom. All homes include luxurious features and finishes throughout.
Cradled in an established, mature setting, Courts of Canterbury homeowners have access to a community clubhouse. Here, homeowners can swim laps in the outdoor pool, participate in a multitude of social and fitness activities, and join planned community excursions.
