A new Midhurst Valley soccer field brought local youth, families and community together through a day of competition and connection.

On Sept. 26, the soccer field at Adam Elliott Park in the Midhurst Valley community came alive as Springwater United Soccer Academy hosted “A Day of Soccer,” a championship-style event bringing players and teams together for a full day of competition, connection and fun.

The event showcased the impact that local partnerships and thoughtfully designed community spaces can have on young people. With players taking to the new soccer field and families gathering to cheer them on, the day created an opportunity for residents to come together while celebrating youth sport close to home.

For Springwater United Soccer Academy, the partnership with Midhurst Valley is about more than providing a place for players to practice and compete. It’s about creating an environment where young athletes can develop their skills while building friendships, confidence and lasting memories.

“Our partnership with Midhurst Valley has created more than a place to play. It has given local youth and families a space to connect and grow. We’re proud to work together in creating a stronger, more connected community,” says Mark Cristante, Springwater United Soccer Academy operations.

That philosophy was on full display throughout the Sept. 26 event. The field became a hub of activity as players competed; families connected from the sidelines and the new green space brought energy to the surrounding community.

The partnership also reflects the Midhurst Valley Builder Group’s – made up of Brookfield Residential, CountryWide Homes, Sundance Homes and Geranium – commitment to supporting youth sport and contributing to the community beyond the homes being built.

By helping create spaces where children can be active, compete, make friends and enjoy the outdoors, Midhurst Valley is helping foster a community where families can connect and put down roots.

For Springwater United Soccer Academy, having access to welcoming, accessible spaces close to home is an important part of creating positive experiences for local youth.

Together, the academy and Midhurst Valley are demonstrating that building a community means more than creating homes. It means creating places where people can come together, young talent can flourish and families can create memories.

As Springwater United Soccer Academy looks ahead, the partnership promises many more games, friendships and community moments on the fields in Midhurst Valley.
