GERANIUM HOMES

Urban-style design in Stouffville

Since January, the first purchasers at Uptownes at Cardinal Point started to move into their new urban-style townhomes, where fewer than a dozen remain unsold. Andrew Chan and his wife chose to buy at Geranium Homes’ community in Stouffville because they believed in the value and liked the location. In June, they will move with their new baby from their condominium in Richmond Hill.

New homebuyers like the Chans are embracing Geranium’s modern design and urban-style architecture. “The modern lifestyle offered in these homes appealed to us,” says Chan.

Uptownes’ exteriors of brick and stone with loft-style window details will result in streetscapes that are modern yet also reflective of an era highlighted by machine and industry. Uptownes is a self-contained enclave neighbourhood of 134 homes, now being built in phases.

The selection of three-storey back-to-back and stacked townhomes range in size from 1,401 to 1,639 square feet. The second-floor living space features an open-concept Great Room, kitchen and dining area that will be light-filled from oversized windows and grand 10-foot ceiling heights. Chan describes this space as a big selling feature,

explaining that they will use the open area for entertaining.

Another design feature that sold the Chans is the large rooftop terrace, which ranges in size from 279 up to 380 square feet, providing a versatile outdoor living space for barbecuing, relaxing and hosting get-togethers with friends and family. Homeowners will benefit from low monthly maintenance fees and prices beginning at $419,900.

The Uptownes neighbourhood is situated minutes from Stouffville’s Main Street, where there is an excellent variety of shops, services, places to dine, and a GO Transit station. Nearby, there are plenty of parks, schools and the Leisure Centre, which has an indoor pool, fitness centre and year-round programs.

Uptownes is the seventh phase of The Neighbourhoods of Cardinal Point, a master-planned community and winner of the coveted Best Places to Grow (P2G) Community of the Year (lowrise) Award at the 2014 Annual Building Industry and Land Development Association’s Awards. This award recognizes the community that represents the best example of smart growth, environmental preservation, innovative site

planning, recreational amenities, streetscapes and architecture.

Since 2009, Geranium Homes has built over 700 new homes in the growing Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Current buying opportunities offered by Geranium in Stouffville include luxurious estate homes at Bloomington Woods and PACE on Main boutique condominiums.
