I loved this post, everything was so pttrey. I am a great cook, however I am not a baker ! I just can not bake a cake for some reason. I read that the differance is a baker will follow the rules and not change the recipe… Just yesterday I tried that, but I did not have enough plain flour so I added a bit of self-rising, sifted the sugar with the flour before I read it was to be beaten with the eggs…oops, over beat the batter and then thought it was way to little of an amount for the two round pans so I put it all in one… guess how it turned out.
